Yesterday I read a blog that is not on my blog role and the anxiety level in the woman's latest post was more than apparent. No, it did not deal with health care but with another topic.
It turns out that this particular blogger had just read a post from one of her favorite bloggers and was upset at a perceived government intrusion that blogger B said was happening. Blogger B cited an article from where she got the info.
I went to the article and read it several times. And then read it some more. For Blogger B did not use the cut and paste function on her computer. Nor did she read the article in question carefully so the info that she was passing on was grossly incorrect.
The moral of this story - so many that I don't know where to begin.
What I've decided to take from it is to watch everything that I say even more closely. In this climate of fear it is more important than ever to watch what we say and have the correct facts to back up what we say. The opinions of others are not always facts.

S1 leaves for college
As I had helped S1 move into his new apartment last month there was nothing requiring parental help with todays final move. The guitar, some clothes, food. . . The exciting thing is that he bought a car yesterday. With his own money. A major accomplishment and one that he is very proud of.

Back at School
We took S2 back to college today. It is a bit early but work for him starts tomorrow.
The new room isn't as nice as the one last year but the roommate will hopefully be better.
Took the customary trip to the big box stores for all of the essentials, had lunch at the new dininghall (seriously good).
Then we said goodbye.
But his cousin, aunt and uncle said Hello a few hours later. A first meeting between two seriously cute cousins.

We are back
from Atlanta. Many of us gathered together yesterday to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary. A good time had by all.
Got home just before midnight last night.
Today it is house cleaning and packing for S2 to go back to college tomorrow.
Will have a better blog post as I find the time.

We are
back from a week in New Hampshire. I was going to blog while traveling but there were no mice this year only skunks and they only affected the dog next door. We swam and did the usual things. We vacation with the same 5 families each year. Don't really correspond during the year that much but once we get there the conversation never stops. Our children are fast friends. The wait staff took group photos of us and with us - to take back to their homes in Europe and Jamaica. As one waitress from Belarus said to me - "This week is so much fun."
I could not say it better myself.
