Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

**Fussen, Germany today

It is incredibly cold here in the mid-Atlantic but unfortunately no snow. I am thinking of Christmas anyway and it's time to bake.

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

2 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 oz melted unsweetened chocolate
2 tsp vanilla
4 eggs
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Mix together and refrigerate at least 3 hours. Roll a tablespoon of dough in powdered sugar and put on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

I love the Germany picture, and will try the cookies. I think I'll use melted butter instead of oil. :<)

I had not thought of using melted butter but I have some extra chocolate so will give it a try also.

At least the Arctic cold has ended. We will have 40s all Thanksgiving week.
