First of all Happy Birthday to my mother whom I will call when the her phone is not busy! For the next month my father will tell us all how he has married an older woman:-) - then it will be his birthday. This has been a running joke since I can remember.
Today was the first of three Halloween parties that I will be experiencing. Today's was with fifteen 3 or almost 3 year olds. We had one very bright 3 1/2 year old who was dressed as a pumpkin and was not totally thrilled, and an adorable witch who wore the cutest orange and black socks. There were 3 princesses, a fairy, two fireman,a cat, a dragon, a carebear, a cow, a dalmation and a very reluctant train engineer. Only part of one costume fell in the toilet and so far no frantic parents calling looking for missing costume parts. A tentative success.
Now it's time to get my home decorations out.
Tomorrow is a big day. Yes another party BUT our new mattress is coming. As we have never owned a new mattress I do look forward to getting a good nights sleep.

Hope your mom had a happy birthday. I share her b'thday month. :)
I've enjoyed your pictures -- the leaves must be lovely about now. I miss the seasons where I'm living now....especially fall.
I'll have to check out the book series you mention. Have you read the Big Stone Gap books? ....I can't remember the author but they are an interesting read.
Are you ready for some football tomorrow? :)
