S1 is fine.

For those of you who do not know, S1 is a freshman at the university that has been all over the news today. Over 30 people woke up this morning, many thinking about their weekends, some thinking about their next project and a few by the sounds of it were not too wide awake at all.

There are over 30 families that tonight are receiving unwelcome visits from the State Police. Families that have been making plans for summer break with their children and loved ones. Families that after this morning have a new reality that they will have to live with.

Most of us are with heavy hearts this evening. There are a lot of families and friends whose lives will never be the same. Keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

What a terrifying experience for your son. And I am just heartsick for the families who lost their kids.

I can't even bear to watch the news -- it's just so sad and awful.

I just found you via Debra's blog and had to come over and say thank God for keeping your son safe. What a terrible, tragic thing to have happen. You must be so relieved and thankful.

I didn't realize your DS attended that college. I am so glad though to hear he is okay but deeply saddened by the tragedy of shootings. I hope the vultures (media) releases the town soon to let everyone grieve as they need to.

You post is beautifully written. As usual, you help us to focus on what's most important - those suffering families who have lost their children. What a state of utter confusion and grief they must be in.
How did that student get all those bullets and guns? Who knows...

Sending you good thoughts and prayers. I am sorry your son had to go through this, and so sorry for all the families who lost their children.
