went to the university that S1 goes to for a luncheon and an awards presentation. S1 you may remember has received a partial scholarship for next year for Physics due to grades and the promise of having a rewarding career in Physics. (The words of the university - not mine). Lunch was delicious. About 300 people attended the event which was held in the honors building. Afterwards we went to the physics building for the presentations and to hear the guest speaker (a previous student) who talked about having a rewarding career in physics and medicine combined. Very interesting.
The dinner was fabulous with a wonderful salad, vegetarian crepes for S1 and myself. For dessert cheesecake and wonderful coffee. I thought that I would have to be rolled down the hill to the physics building :-).
