When a Crocodile Eats the Sun by Peter Godwin

I have become a book snob. I crave books that are well written. Where the words and phrases are so well put together that I want to read every word and not just skim over parts to get to the "good parts".

There was no skimming for me in "When A Crocodile Eats the Sun." Peter Godwin is a master of words and he uses them to tell 2 different stories - one of the decline of his country Zimbabwe and the other of his parents past ( mostly his father's). The stories are intertwined brilliantly.
