Spot of Color

This is the only spot of color in my yard that made it through the winter unscathed by cold weather or deer. The weather today is warm, the sun is out and the winds of March have arrived early on our doorstep.

I have spent the day cleaning, working on crafts and catching up on some sleep that has seemed to elude me these past few nights as a I lie awake with yet another cold, sore throat and glands that threaten to come out of my neck like some bad sci-fi creature.

But spring is coming. The whisper of earlier this month is a full roar today. I am holding on to the promise - spring will be here soon.

So pretty! If only those first flowers of spring realized how appreciated they are!

How beautiful. Springtime in the south can't be beat. Hope you're feeling better.

Oh wow--lucky you even having a spot of color. My yard is nothing more than murky brown and yellow still. I need to go and pick some flowers soon to brighten up at least then inside of the house.

Hope you feel better soon!

Yes Spring is really just around the corner! I picked my first small bouquet of wild violets yesterday and I have already heard a blackbird singing very early in the morning and he should know!!!
Hope that you are feeling much better.
