The movies this weekend were A Good Year, Citizen Kane and My Man Godfrey. Favorite of the three hands down is My Man Godfrey. I love William Powell and Carole Lombard is cute in a Gracie Allen sort of way. Cute, moralistic and sappy movie. Great for a Sunday night.
A Good Year is set mostly in France where a man is left his uncle's estate. Story is kind of flimsy but the scenery makes the movie a worthwhile viewing.
Symbolism filled the Citizen Kane movie. Great shots of cold empty rooms, link fences, - a very cold movie. I didn't realize that Ray Collins was in it. (He is the older detective in Perry Mason). Agnes Moorehead was good in her role as the mother.
