Outside it is hot but inside we are still cool. Maxine is feeling it more than the rest of us. She likes the cold of our wood floors and just flops herself down and pants.
The sky is crystal clear with quite a bit of bird activity about. The latest finds are the finches, hummingbirds and a towhee that we see once in awhile but hear often.
The house is quiet. The boys are on their computers - every now and then I hear talking and the eruption of some laughter. Later husband and I will take a bottle of wine outside, watch the sun set and the stars come out to play.
