Maxine and I went up to the mountains this morning to get in some quality hiking while S1 slept in. The air up in the park was chilly and spring is just making it's appearance up there. We were not the only hikers on this particular trail. When we were almost to the top Maxine stopped suddenly. I asked her to move on but she looked ahead and growled. As she is not given to growling without reason we turned back to our car. I never saw a thing but I trust her judgement.
