Me to S2 (who is playing computer games) - Have you finished the application to XYZ college?
S2 - Do I have to do it tonight?
Me - Yes, I'd like it done by 10.
S2 - Why can't I do it tomorrow?
Me - It needs to be done tonight by 10. (My imposed time - not the college). I want to make sure that the college has your transcript. They probably don't as ABC college cannot find yours nor can the college that your brother goes to.
S2 - I had a good day and I want to do it tomorrow.
Me - It needs to be done tonight.
S2 with dramatic flair - Ok, I will NEVER have a good day then.
I need a glass of wine.
PS - To those of you who did not see the Christmas header - he has been accepted to one college but its not his top choice.
