husband and I officially switched our membership from the little rural church that we have been members of for over 14 years to a large church in town.
It feels odd to divorce ones church and take up with another. A lot of soul searching to make sure that it is the right move. And add a little guilt (at least in the beginning of the transition).
But we have been going to the new one for over a year now and it feels right.
And I don't feel like nodding off during sermons anymore.

It sounds as if you have thought long and hard, about this decision. So that sounds like a very good basis for a change.
And I hope you'll be happy in your new choice.
And you'll really "feel at home" there, this Christmas. :-)
