The sense of

smell is interesting. During my 1st pregnancy I loved Dorito chips. Could not get enough of them. Haven't been able to enjoy them since. The smell makes me nauseous.

On the positive side the smell of milk can take me back either to my grandfathers dairy farm or to kindergarten where we had milk in miniature bottles delivered every day for snack. The smell of coffee and pine cupboards reminds me of my grandmother. And certain perfumes remind me of my other grandmother.

The smell of cut grass reminds me that I need to go and give Sport a kiss on his belly which will smell like sweet green grass. I have always loved to smell my children's hair.

What smells have important memories for you?

Hmmm...this got me thinking, remembering. There's a certain smell that goes with harvesting grain...my mom always wears the same kind of perfume...when I was pregnant, I couldn't stand the smell of anything! And I too, loved the smell of my daughter's hair. Thanks for stirring up all the memories.
