NYC trip and meeting EVI

**

Husband and I got back last night from a weekend in NYC celebrating our 25th anniversary which was in August. August proved to be busy with boys getting ready for college so we decided to celebrate now.

The weekend was great. Lots of great food and shopping. We saw our first show on Broadway - Mama Mia (I'm still singing ABBA tunes). A visit to the Mysterious Bookshop and a visit to the Strand Bookshop. Dinner at Lupa which is one of Mario Batali's restaurants. Excellent food and service. And people that seemed happy to be working there.

On Monday morning we met EVI at a local coffee spot. We have been commenting on each other's blogs for what seems like years and finally got the chance to meet. EVI is just as nice in person as she is on her blog. She took us on a tour of her area - beautifully landscaped dwellings, interesting architecture, and lots of little restaurants (places to be investigated on another visit). A great time.

Now I just have to catch up on some sleep.

Sounds like an awesome weekend. I just think this blogging community and meeting up is the coolest thing ever. It was so super to meet you and your husband. Thanks for letting me hold you hostage for a few hours!

p.s. If only I lived in the building you have pictured. I just spent the afternoon there with my son.
